Accountant/District Treasurer:

The Sandy Creek Central School District has an opening for an Accountant/District Treasurer to commence approximately December 13, 2023.

Applicants must meet the qualifications as set forth by Oswego County Personnel, and be able to pass and be reachable on the civil service Accountant exam. Candidates must have the professional ability to perform a full range of varied, complex, sensitive, and confidential accounting, human resource, and treasurer duties in a fast-paces office environment. Must have a knack for organization, the capability to deal with a variety of individuals, and flexibility to work under pressure while upholding exceptional accounting and payroll skills.

Candidate must be

(A) in possession of a master's degree from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university in accounting, business administration, or related field, including or supplemented by at least 18 credit hours in accounting; OR

(B) Graduated from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university with a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field, including or supplemented by at least 18 credit hours in accounting and one (1) year of experience in auditing, municipal budgeting, or financial planning and analysis, or closely related field; OR

(C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of "A" and "B" above.

Salary range will be approximately $55,000 - $65,000, dependent upon experience.
